Productomschrijving

Product introduction:

ADSS (All-Dielectric Self-Supporting) fiber optic cable is a non-metallic, self-supporting aerial cable that contains optical fibers and is designed for installation on utility poles without needing a separate messenger wire, allowing for economical, single-pass deployment in distribution and transmission environments, even near high-voltage lines, thanks to its dielectric (non-conductive) construction and strong aramid yarn for tensile strength.

Key Features & Benefits:
All-Dielectric: No metallic components, making it safe for high-voltage environments where metallic cables are hazardous.
Self-Supporting: Eliminates the need for a separate messenger wire, simplifying installation and reducing cost.
Single-Pass Installation: Can be installed quickly in one step, saving time and labor.
Versatile: Available in designs for various span lengths (up to 3500 ft or more) and fiber counts, with features like water-blocking gels and track-resistant jackets for harsh conditions.
Strong: Uses aramid yarns for tensile strength, allowing it to handle significant mechanical stress and environmental loads.

Construction:
Fibers: Color-coded fibers (2 to 12+) are loosely laid in gel-filled or gel-free buffer tubes.
Strength Members: Dielectric central strength member and helically laid aramid yarn (Kevlar) for peripheral strength.
Waterproofing: Water-swelling tapes or gels prevent moisture ingress.
Jacket: A durable outer jacket, sometimes track-resistant (TRPE) for high voltage, protects the internal components.

Applications:
Campus backbones
Distribution and transmission power lines (can be installed live-line)
Data network infrastructure
